Unblocked cams - Validating dropdowns

Here's what we are trying to achieve: The user selects Pizza from a drop-down list.

As a result, a second drop-down list contains the Pizza items.

You need to do this because the default value on the form is blank for this drop-down and the field isn’t required, so blank is a valid value.

Worksheet_Change is an event called on I think nearly any change on your workbook - not just, if your drop-down menu changes.

this interests me, but I can not quite follow your description.

I have a bit of code that very nearly does this (credit: DV0005 from the Contextures site): 1 Then Go To exit Handler If Target. The only way I see would be to remove the data validation, and code your own drop down box. Add Item va Products(i) Next i End With End Sub Private Sub Enter Product Info() Dim va Prices As Variant va Prices = Array(15, 12.5, 20, 18) With Sheet1.

How exactly do you provide your drop-down menu, and how do you validate the data?

It takes the primary key of the entity, stores it, returns a reference to the location in the key store; when the page is submitted, the key is fetched from the store and used to load the entity.

The JSF 1.2 Specification (sections 4.1.15.3 and 4.1.16.3) specify that In other words, the submitted item must be in the list displayed on the page.

For example, the user selects Chinese from the first drop-down list. As a result, the second drop-down lists contains the Chinese items.

Result: Explanation: the INDIRECT function returns the reference specified by a text string.

The advantage of this is that the drop down will hide the actual cell, so the cell itself can still be edited as normal.
